Framo has signed a contract with Höegh LNG for the delivery of pumping systems to their new Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU). The contract is for one unit, with option for three more units which are currently being built at Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea.

Alfa Laval has signed an agreement to acquire Scanjet, a supplier of marine tank cleaning equipment. The deal adds Scanjet’s intelligent tank management solutions to Alfa Laval’s already broad tanker offering, creating a complete portfolio for cargo tank needs.

Alfa Laval has won an order to supply Framo pumping systems to Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea. The order, booked in the Marine & Offshore Pumping Systems segment, has a value of approximately SEK 240 million and delivery is scheduled for 2015.

An extremely powerful Unison all-electric pipe bending machine is helping Frank Mohn Piping to improve the production accuracy and throughput of complex large-bore hydraulic piping systems. The machine is also designed to help the company improve manufacturing efficiency by reducing the number of steps required to fabricate piping parts.

Alfa Laval has completed the acquisition of Frank Mohn AS, following approval from competition authorities. The acquisition, which adds marine and offshore pumping systems, represents a significant business opportunity as it further strengthens Alfa Laval’s position as a provider of critical systems for marine and offshore oil and gas production units.
